The Art Room!
This is a snapshot moment of our everyday. The art room is where a lot of pre-literacy work happens. We are frequently painting, drawing, writing, gluing, cutting, and collaging. Students, as well as teachers, are encouraged to create and lead projects.
Enrollment
Hummingbird School has been a year-round, in-home, play-based morning preschool program for children ages 2-5 in the Alberta Arts District of Northeast Portland, Oregon since 2005. We have a teacher-child ratio of one teacher for every five to six students. Each school day 8 to 16 preschool friends come together to play. We follow the Portland Public Schools calendar for school closures. We play outside everyday rain or shine in our big beautiful yard. We also have three guinea pigs!

We are a participating Preschool for All program. Qualifying families can apply through PFA to attend tuition free.
